Hypnosis Helps Alleviate Menopausal Hot Flashes

Anti-stress therapy can help deal with some menopause symptoms

In one study of women who had moderate to severe hot flashes and night sweats, those who participated in mindfulness-based stress-reduction classes over 9 weeks were 15 percent less bothered by their hot flashes. About 3 months later, mindfulness practitioners were 22 percent less bothered by hot flashes. The mindfulness group also reported less stress, better sleep and overall improvement in their quality of life.
