Past Life Regressions: Fact or Fantasy?

Past Life Regressions: Fact or Fantasy?

www.hypnosis.org

Here is an article written by one of my favorite hypnosis instructors, Roy Hunter, speaking on “Past Life Regressions — Are they Fact or Fantasy?”  Some interesting food for thought — on both sides of the debate!

As Roy says:  “Skeptics often claim that a PLR is the result of false memories, while believers claim that past life regressions provide evidence of reincarnation…  This article is written to provide some food for thought, regardless of your own views on this controversial topic.”

HypnoBirthing for an Easier Childbirth

HypnoBirthing takes the hard-labour out of Childbirth

www.thebirthingsite.com

Here is an excellent article about HypnoBirthing written by a fellow practitioner over in the UK.  Please have a read!

Jacqueline Grimsley writes: “MENTION labour and delivery to an expectant mum and the chances are her heart will begin to race at the thought of what’s to come. But HypnoBirthing helps mums-to-be overcome their fear and tension with a different way of birthing … HypnoBirthing enables mums to eliminate the ‘fear-tension-pain’ syndrome, resulting in a comfortable, relaxed birthing experience whilst being in complete control.”

New Milford Hospital Offers Hypnosis During Surgery

Relieving the effects of surgery with hypnosis

http://medicalxpress.com

Dr. Courtney Chambers, a surgeon at New Milford Hospital in Connecticut, says of hypnosis for surgery: “What I’m seeing is that more people are using less narcotics and using narcotics for shorter periods after surgery. To hear that people only stayed in bed for a day or two days as opposed to a week or 10 days moping around is very encouraging.”

“…hypnosis in the operating room is less common, but said studies have shown it can be effective. Researchers have found that hearing is the last sense to decline under anesthesia and that a patient can still be influenced by hypnotherapy while under anesthesia…”

She said: ‘I’ve had a fear of excessive sweating since I was at school. It got to the point where I was literally not walking anyway through fear of breaking sweat. Are You Afraid of Needles? Self-Hypnosis Techniques Can Help!

Hypnosis for Medical IV’s and Needles and Blood Draws

http://www.allthingshealing.com

Seth-Deborah Roth writes: “Working in the medical world, I get to see many situations where simple, easy, hypnosis could be used. There are everyday medical procedures that frighten many patients. Such is getting your blood taken or even getting a shot. Some patients get so frightened that they actually can faint. Sometimes people actually get so frightened that their veins constrict and get smaller, therefore, making it even more difficult to start an IV line. Some people will never go to a doctor because of this fear. Hypnosis affords a simple perfect solution to this problem that you can carry with you anywhere.”
